I am of the understanding that you can generally get 10% off of what they are asking. Compared to what the dealer paid for the car and all of the expenses associated with selling that car I think there was a better deal to be had, generally speaking. Also the accessories are marked up tremendously and in most cases never used. OnStar is pretty good if you lose keys, but I have never used it. Going to the dealer informed about what you are wanting to buy and what you are capable of spending.

hey man.. hate to bust your bubble but you can pick up a new 2008 saturn vue for less than $28000.00! $30,000 is the absolute most you should expect to pay for one at a dealership.
I have seen them sell as low as $18-$19000 with under 15000 miles
